Fisher Brook Rabbitry is co-owned by Andrea & Katheryn Fisher. What had begun as Andrea's high school FFA project in 2003 with a Black Mini Rex doe and a Chocolate Mini Rex buck, soon became a small hobby based mother-daughter rabbitry. Andrea initally showed in youth then was joined by her mom Katheryn. For several years we attended shows in our home state of California. After moving to Texas and then Oklahoma we also managed to show in both of those states but not nearly as often. We are now retired from showing for now and living in beautiful NW Arkansas.
The lack of available shows close at hand, increasing costs for everything from feed to gasoline due to our country's current economic situation, and family health issues have forced us to make a tough choice and suspend our breeding and showing for the forseeable future. We currently have only one rabbit, Darcy, our first baby who is now over 8 years old. We could never willingly part with her. She is now a much loved, often spoiled, only pet. The rest of our rabbits we have sold. Thank you so much Todd, Brian & Linda (and your girls) for giving our babies loving homes where we know they will be well cared for. It's been a fun ride and we have met many wonderful people who have helped us and become friends along the way. We will never forget any of you but all good things must end sometime and for our family now is that time. As of this writing it has been, to my surprise, over a year since this site was updated. Our family has been through a major move to an apartment in NW Arkansas, which is why we only have one bunny. We have also dealt with a lot of family medical, and financial issues and job changes. Andrea is still maintaining her ARBA membership and we are still an ARBA rabbitry, we just are not active in breeding and showing for now. We will keep this website up so it can help to educate others.
For those who of you who may be newly visiting this site you can always ask us questions about rabbits by contacting us via the email link below. We will do our best to answer your questions or we will refer you to someone who can. If you are looking for a breeder we recommend you check the ARBA website and the websites for the various breeds and the state and regional clubs to find someone in your area. There are links on our links page to help you with that. They are your best resource since we are inactive at this time.
Rabbits aren't just for Easter but for always and we will always love those special bunnies who have been a part of our lives. They will live in our hearts forever.Last Update: October 17, 2013
